A before and after page, Hymek D7017 is seen here at Cardiff in 1971 with a Portsmouth train, a route which they dominated at the time.

  This particular loco is now preserved by the Diesel and Electric Group at Williton on the West Somerset Railway where it is seen at Williton in the second photo in the company of the DEG's other Hymek D7018 and D6566, a class 33, the type that later took over the Cardiff - Bristol - Southampton - Portsmouth services.
